Caused by extremes in humidity & dryness. Keeping block oiled will help control this. ------------------------------------------------------------ CLEANING RECCOMMENDATIONS 1) Scrape loose any food particles 2) Brush all loose particles from top surface 3) Using a dish cloth & warm soapy water, wash top the same as any wood surface. A VERY MILD DETERGENT can be used. 4) Wash out cloth in warm clear water and go over top again. 5) TAKE DRY CLOTH AND GO OVER ENTIRE SURFACE TO DRY THOROUGHLY 6) Occasionally apply mineral oil as reccommended ************************************************************ WARPING is a rare occurrance. due to one side of board dryer than the other. Possible solution Apply a heavy coat of boos mystery oil to the concave side of the warped block. Wrap that side with black plastic to retain moisture until the block comes back on its own. DO NOT FORCE OR USE WEIGHTS AS THIS WILL CAUSE THE BLOCK TO SPLIT AND CRACK
